JAKARTA, KalderaNews.com – After 25 years of dedicated service, Nuffic Neso Indonesia has transformed into , marking a pivotal moment in regional education and research collaboration. Scheduled for Tuesday, 07 May 2024, from 3 pm to 5 pm (UTC+7), the launch event will unveil to foster broader cooperation not only with Indonesia but across Southeast Asia.

In a statement, Inty Dienasari as Education Promotion Coordinator of Nuffic Southeast Asia (SEA), expressed enthusiasm for the organization’s evolution, citing it as an opportunity to expand regional involvement and deepen ties with stakeholders both within the region and in the Netherlands.

Over the past quarter-century, Nuffic Neso Indonesia has been instrumental in promoting Dutch higher education and facilitating information exchange on English-taught study programs in the Netherlands.

The launch of Nuffic Southeast Asia will not only be a celebration but also mark an important moment for the organisation to share its new goals as a regional office.

“As we evolve into a regional office, Nuffic Southeast Asia’s goal is to expand the scope of its impact and enhance collaboration in the education and research sectors between the Netherlands and the Southeast Asia region. Moreover, we seek to identify opportunities and address challenges where Nuffic SEA can make a meaningful impact.”

This event is designed to outline the organisation’s upcoming priorities in the region and inspire the audience to engage in its fresh initiatives fostering collaboration between the Netherlands and Southeast Asian nations and between the EU and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The launch event, set to be a celebration of this transformation, will feature a dynamic program including a talk show and breakout sessions conducted via an online platform.

Notable participants include representatives from Dutch Embassies in Southeast Asian countries, universities, private sector companies, NGOs, Southeast Asian students and alumni in the Netherlands, government officials, and EU representatives in Southeast Asia.

The event will kick off with opening remarks by Titia Bredée, the Director-General of Nuffic, followed by a talk show featuring NL Ambassadors for Vietnam, Thailand, and Singapore moderated by the Director of Nuffic SEA, Peter van Tuijl. These distinguished guests will discuss the importance of collaboration between the Netherlands and Southeast Asian nations in advancing education and knowledge exchange.
