YOGYAKARTA, KalderaNews.com – Since 2022, ARTJOG has introduced the ARTJOG Kids initiative to promote inclusivity by allowing children and teenagers aged 6-15 years to submit their artwork for consideration. This year, the program showcases 71 pieces from 36 participants who successfully passed the curation process.

Bambang ‘Toko’, the curator of ARTJOG, expressed that ARTJOG Kids aims to support young artists by integrating their works and activities into the festival. Unlike traditional art events where children are often viewed solely as attendees, ARTJOG Kids strives to elevate their artistic contributions to a professional level.

The highlight of this year’s ARTJOG Kids occurred on July 15, 2024, with the presentation of ARTJOG Kids Awards to three young artists across three age categories: 6-8 years, 9-11 years, and 12-15 years. These awards recognize not only the recipients but all participants whose artworks are displayed in ARTJOG Kids.
