JAKARTA, KalderaNews. com – Hari Guru Nasional diperingati tiap 25 November yang bertepatan dengan berdirinya Persatuan Guru Republik Indonesia.

PGRI sudah berdiri sejak 1945 sebenarnya, tapi baru pada 1994, pemerintah lewat Kepres No 78 Tahun 1994 menetapkan tanggal berdirinya PGRI sekaligus jadi Hari Guru Nasional. Penetapan ini pun ditegaskan lagi lewat UU No. 14 Tahun 2005 tentang Guru dan Dosen.

Penetapan Hari Guru Nasional untuk mengapresiasi, mendukung dan mendorong kualitas guru Indonesia supaya pendidikan di Indonesia terus maju.
